How to permit a home EV charger in San Marcos

The city estimates 1 to 3 business days for single-family homes, and 5 to 10 for other locations, which need a site plan, load calculations, a single-line diagram and product specifications.

Claim the rebate
After the final inspection, homeowners can apply for the city's EV charger rebate of up to $900 per charger. It needs the permit number with a finaled date and proof of payment, and runs first come, first served while funding lasts.
